Your dashboard is your home base in BookSparker. It surfaces what needs your attention, gives you quick access to your books and author names, and puts every marketing tool one click away. Here is what each part does.
Your action items at a glance
The four cards at the top show what needs you right now. Each card is clickable and takes you straight to the right place.
- Pending Requests are swap requests from other authors waiting on your response. Open them to accept, decline, or send a counter offer.
- Confirmations are swaps that need a final action from you before they are locked in.
- New Messages shows unread messages from other authors.
- Response Rate is the share of requests you responded to over the last 12 months. Letting requests expire without responding lowers it, so try to reply even when the answer is no.
Your assets
This section holds everything that represents you and your books.
- Books is where you manage your titles and how readers receive them.
- Author Names lets you manage your pen names.
- Mailing Lists connects your email provider. Connecting a list is what unlocks the swap calendar and lets you schedule promotions.
Marketing tools
These are the ways you reach new readers.
- Book Swaps let you cross promote with other authors by featuring each other to your mailing lists.
- Group Promos let you join or host promotions with several authors at once.
- Landing Pages are simple pages you can build for any of your books.
- Book Analytics help you track swaps and plan your next promotion.
- Smart Book Links give you one link that sends every reader to their local Amazon store.
Upcoming commitments
The calendar strip near the bottom shows your next few scheduled swaps and promotions. Select any day to see the details, or choose View Outgoing Calendar to see everything. This area stays empty until you connect a mailing list, so start there if you are new.
