Let a virtual assistant or co-author work in your BookSparker account with their own login: what they can and cannot do, how to add and remove them, and how they switch into your account.

User access lets someone else, such as a virtual assistant or a co-author, work inside your BookSparker account with their own email and password. You add their address in Settings; they sign in as themselves and switch into your account. Nothing about your own login changes.
What an assistant can do
Everything to do with the day-to-day work: books, author names, mailing lists and swap settings, swap requests and confirmations, group promos, landing pages, the outgoing calendar and messages. They work within your plan's limits, not their own, so an assistant on the free plan can still work in a paid account.
What an assistant cannot do
Change your password or email address, or delete the account.
See or manage your subscription, payment methods, earnings, payouts or the affiliate program. Those pages simply do not exist for them: opening one shows a not-found page, not a permission message.
Edit your profile or language. Those sections are hidden while they work in your account.
They can see the amounts of paid swaps, because arranging swaps is their job, but never your wallet, card details or payout history.
Add a user
Open Settings and find User access. Enter the person's email address and choose Add user.

Give an assistant access to manage your books, swaps and promos. They sign in with their own email and password. They cannot change your password or email address, manage your subscription or payouts, or delete your account.

If that address already has a BookSparker account, the row shows Active and they can switch into your account right away.
If not, the row shows Invite sent. They receive an email and must sign up with exactly that address; the moment they do, the invite turns active by itself.
You can add up to 10 users, and send up to 10 invites per day. You cannot add your own address, and an address that already has access is refused.

Removing access asks once, inline, and signs the assistant out on the spot.
Choose Remove on their row and confirm. Access ends immediately: if they are working in your account at that moment, their session is signed out, and their next page load lands in their own account. You can add the same person again later.
If you are the assistant
Sign in with your own email and password. You always land in your own account first. To work in an account shared with you, use the account switcher: the pill in the dashboard header, or Switch account in the avatar menu.

The account switcher as your assistant sees it: their own account, and yours marked Current.
Your own account is listed first, then every account shared with you, with the one you are in marked Current. While you work in a shared account the pill turns orange and names that account, and the avatar menu shows your own address under Signed in as, so you always know whose account you are in. One session works in one account at a time; switching in one tab switches every tab.
Notification emails
Notifications about the account go to everyone who can act on them. The account holder gets their copy as before; each active assistant gets their own copy, in their own language, with a footer naming the account. Links inside it open straight into the shared account. Assistants choose which emails they want in Settings while working in the account, without touching the holder's own settings.
Common questions
Can one assistant work for several authors?
Yes. Each author adds the same address, and the switcher lists every account shared with them.
Can I see what my assistant did?
Not separately. Actions taken in your account are recorded as the account, so a swap accepted by an assistant looks the same as one you accepted yourself.
Why does my assistant not see the invite?
Ask them to check spam, and to sign up with the exact address you added. An account under a different address will not be linked to the invite.
Does my assistant need a paid plan?
No. While working in your account they use your plan and its limits.
