Swap requests, booking updates and group promo news reach you by email. A swap request stays open for up to five days, so one that lands in spam can expire before you see it. A few minutes in your mailbox settings fixes that for good.
Where our emails come from
Every email from BookSparker comes from an address ending in booksparker.com. Most come from notify.booksparker.com: swap requests from swaps@notify.booksparker.com, group promo emails from promos@notify.booksparker.com. The steps below use both names, booksparker.com and notify.booksparker.com, so every one of our addresses is covered.
Gmail
- Open your Spam folder, open an email from BookSparker and click Report not spam.
- Click the search options icon at the right end of the search bar. In the From box, type booksparker.com OR notify.booksparker.com and click Create filter.
- Tick Never send it to Spam and click Create filter again.
If our emails land in the Promotions tab instead, drag one into Primary and choose Yes when Gmail asks whether to do the same for future messages.
Outlook and Hotmail
- Open your Junk Email folder, select the email from BookSparker and mark it Not junk.
- Go to Settings, then Mail, then Junk email. Under Safe senders and domains, choose Add, type booksparker.com and save. Add notify.booksparker.com the same way.
Yahoo, AOL and other email apps
Open the email in your Spam or Junk folder and mark it as not spam (some apps call it Not junk or Move to Inbox). Then add swaps@notify.booksparker.com to your contacts. Most mailboxes don't send mail from a contact to spam.
