Hi fellow indie authors and publishers,

Here's a little background on our journey in the indie author world and what led us to develop BookSparker.

Nick is part of a husband-and-wife author/publisher team. Or rather, a wife-and-husband team. Ever since his wife (who loves her privacy and anonymity; no names here) started writing and publishing books, now more than 10 years ago, he has been supporting her with every task that comes with publishing a book, except for the writing itself. With a background in construction fire safety engineering, it won't surprise you that his first task was... ahem... steamy romance book cover design. At least, there was a fire fighter on the cover... On top of cover design came book formatting, email marketing, Facebook ads, Amazon ads, finances, managing translations, and so on. With many years of experience in the indie publishing world, working with all kinds of tools and constantly trying to optimize workflows, the vision of a streamlined, user-friendly tool to manage newsletter marketing and book swaps crossed his mind many times. But time and again, the idea got shelved.

When Luke and Nick first met, they talked a lot about writing and publishing. But while Luke was interested in publishing, his real passion was in coding and tool development. It didn't take long before they decided to team up and turn the idea of a newsletter marketing and book swap tool into reality. Dedicated to building something high-quality, the development process took longer than expected. But we are happy to announce: BookSparker is born.

We're excited to offer the indie author community BookSparker, which we believe is a great new addition to the tools out there. We're very motivated to support the community with this tool and look forward to hearing from you with any feedback, improvement ideas, feature requests, or anything else.
